How do i play a music cd, do i have to mount it, because i try to mount one and i get an error message saying wrong file system or something, im trying to use xmms because i dont have any other cd player installed.

I believe that xmmms needs a plugin to play cd's, look under preferences. If you have it and it's enabled then xmms will mount the cd for you when you start playing it. I use gnome cd.
