i am trying to update my kernel to 2.215 to 2.41. everything goes well until "make bzImage". and it says "target bzImage not found". whats wrong?

Have you run a "make xconfig" (or menuconfig or config)? What distribution are you using? Did you read the README and changes files included with the tarball? There are recommended software you need. I hope this could help. Getta48 02-06-2001, 07:42 AM Hmmm. Have you also cleaned old kernel files? After unpacking new source code to /usr/src/ you HAVE to make "make mrproper". That cleans all old kernel files to bit heaven :) Ps. I have tried to upgrade (gentus linux) 2.2.13 to 2.4.1 and i cant do that. It's just endles field of errors.
