Please correct if I was wrong:

1. Konqueror download manager is better than the ascii downloading of netscape. With netscape, some sites (especially linux softwares) netscape downloaded on the webpage(ascii) which may corrupt the files.

2. Konqueror font is not easy to manage, for some sites such as Mandrake forums, they look like arabic. :)

You are correct about the download manager of konqueror.. It rocks!

As for the fonts, it is easily remedied.. If you click on settings and then inside click on konqueror browser then appearance you will be able to set up your fonts..

The following fonts are what work best for me:

Minimum font size: 10
Medium font size: 12

Standard font: helvetica
Fixed font: lucidatypewriter
Serif font: times
Sans Serif font: helvetica
Cursive font: helvetica
Fantasy font: helvetica

Keep in mind, I'm using 100dpi fonts. If you want to use 100dpi fonts look at the fond deuglifying NHF here at this site.

The other sites are OK now.

Can Konqueror be just installed on OpenBSD or do you have to go through some major proces of compiling it piece of piece? I do not want to use an inferior, bugged browser like netscape anymore on OpenBSD.

I think so. Konqueror is part of the KDE2 base system. If it can run KDE2, it can run Konqueror. However I don't think you can run Konqueror without installing the base KDE2 system (don't know whether or not that's important to you or not).
