sorry if theres already been a post like this, iv just spent like 10 hrs on a bus, n im not in the mood for searching, but i wanna know how to mount my tape drive? im not sure on the make/model etc, it was given to me ages ago, n i only just got some tapes. i got a few scripts to back up etc, but when i did search a few days back, only found scripts, couldnt find anythign about mounting it and stuff. any links would be good.
oh, btw, im running slackware 9.0 if that helps.

You don't need to mount it but it would be nice to know what kind of device it is.
SCSI, IDE etc.
Its accessed like any other file device.

hey.
sorry, i forgot to put that...
it goes on hte floppy cable... ? im not sure if its supose to or what, but some old guy told me it went on the floppy cable n i havent had much luck finding anything about it since i got it. as i said im not sure on the make/model.
you dont need to mount it? i thought you did.. ? hmmm.....
anyways, i better go...

As explained in the links once the drive is loaded you can use any of the file backup utiliies like tar, cio etc.
