I' ve installed Linux 7.0 in a HD with Windows Me. Specifically, I repartioned the hard disk with fips and I installed the linux. Because the installation took place over the 1024 cylinder the LILO does not work and that means that i do not have a boot manager to select the operating system to start. So if I want linux I must boot from the boot-disk. An other problem was the graphic adapter. The linux does not recognize my VGA ( ATI 2000 Xpert Pro (TVout))so i do not have X Windows. If anyone can help me mail me nvlassis@livanis.gr or response here.
1.BOOT MANAGER + 2.VGA Drivers
Thanks in advance!

for booting try the NHF on the site regarding loadlin. For your card try generic Mach 64 or Mach128 as a driver.

The more recent versions of 'lilo' support booting past the 1024 limit. Do a search at freshmeat.net for lilo.

Also check www.xfree86.org (http://www.xfree86.org) to see if your video card is supported and what xserver it uses.
