Getting internal modem to work.

I have a Rockwell/Conexant 56kbps internal modem.KDE has detected it exactly but i cannot use it for dialing up.Where do i have to do the settings still.Is a module to be loaded at startup ?Can you help me ?I'll be obliged.

If the modem is detected, then the necessary modules are most likely loaded already.

Have you tried configuring using Kppp (this from the NHF) (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/modems/kppp1.html)?
