Hey I just a brand new laptop, HP ez4315us or something like that. Anyway it's got XP installed, I haven't gotten around to installing any Linux yet. Before I do that I was wondering; what do you guys use for partition management? How about dual boot management? I plan on giving Windows a modest 10Gigs to live on and dedicate the other 20 to Linux.

Most distros come with partitioners and bootloaders. If you're new to Linux, you might want to try the Mandrake (http://mandrake.com) distribuiton. It has support for partitioning NTFS disks and has a bootloaser that comes with it. I believe SuSE has the same partitioning abilities, but I'd recommend Mandrake because I find it easier to download the iso files than to install via FTP. SuSE has a bootloader too, and the two distros I mentioned are easy to use for dual-booting.
