Easy one about RH install

When installing RH7.1 it gives you an option for automatically partioning the drive, etc for you. If I select this option will it trash my 40 gig HD I have set as a secondary with Win2k on it, or will it just clean off the 10gig I have set as primary?

Well it should only clean the 10 gig drive that you linux. I'm not very sure , but keep on check. I know that it should work.

I'd think it would only clean the 10 gig drive too.. I really don't wanna take the chance and loose all my MP3's and movies though. I kinda feel like this is why I'm not dual booting and having some problems though..

Argh! I just need another computer for a linux box! hehe

Maybe you should make the partitioning part yourself ... Some like Partition Magic, I prefer fdisk and fips (DOS mode)... That's not difficult ... If you need some more help, feel free to post again

I just went for it earlier.. I didn't wipe out my win2k partitions and installed RH.. Still can't dual boot though.. =(

Sounds like you'll have to setup the Win2K again for the dual boot...there should be a way to edit a file to re-set the dual boot, I don't know what you'll need to do (I've never messed around with dual boots yet).
