Netscape is getting slower and slower. When i first installed my system it was pretty good. now i get errors that LNO is unreachable and that netadsrv.inet.com is unreachable(whatever the hell that is) i'v also named my box, and i get SOCKS error about the host being unreachable. any one know how to fix nescape and get rid of the SOCKS error?

I am using RH 6.2 an installed netscape 6 and although it is slower than 4.72 I can at leaast read the fonts. I have had no trouble with it but if you are having trouble what distro are you using and what system do you have? I am using a 233 amd with 64 megs of ram.

It can be your connection that's slow : you could try to change your MRU and MTU. It's in a config file (doesn't know wich one) in /etc/ppp ... You can edit it and your connection gets faster (it's magic !) For a 33.6 modem, I set it to 576. You can also read the NHF for that.
