Looks interesting... do you think i shouldn't be messing with this if im a newbie? or is it fairly easy to install/get it to run?

Well if you are running redhat, go to www.winehq.com (http://www.winehq.com) and download the RPMS.. also there is a patch by transgaming (i think its http://www.transgaming.com) that will let you run directx stuff, but you need to build wine from source..

if you run a debian based distro, type:
apt-get install wine
pretty easy..

its a great program. You can run MS office, Warcraft II, and half-life (but half-life for me was way slow)
