Windows Linux

Im running linux on my desktop and want to install it on my laptop, at the moment I have no cd drive for it, I have windows 98 installed and was thinking about trying one of those windows linux jobs.. as I could use my desktop cd over the network to install it when in windows...Anyone tried windows linux?? if so, is it any good to mess around on for a short while.. can u use konsole and all commands etc ??

AFAIK, there shouldn't be a problem to install linux over the network, so why don't you get some information about it?
Seems better then using Linux under Win98 to me...
