mandrake 8 prevents me from booting into windows?

I wonder if anybody can help me - I had two harddrives on one I have windows installed - on the other I installed mandrake 8. The trouble is - I have gotten rid of the mandrake hard drive and now I cant boot into windows - on POST all I get is a stream of 0101010101010101010101.... - im assuming that mandrakes dual boot system has either partitioned or overwritten - installed something on the windows hard drive which is why I cant boot into it. Can anyone out there help me please?

get a windoze boot disk
boot up
at the c prompt type in following

c:/>fdisk /mbr

after you've done the above, reboot after taking out the fd.
