Is it possible to increase the max length of a 10 base T cable by putting larger cables on it, such as 16 gauge?

Jumper cables for ethernet? Dood....

Anyway, the spec for limits you to just under 300 feet. Using higher quality cable and not caring about slower speeds may get you a few more yards... but if you need a cable that long, then you should maybe consider using wireless with coffee/pringles can antennas, or maybe just put a powered link (simple powered hub would do) every 300 feet.
