Need a recommendation on a good 56k external modem that is supprted by Linux.
I'm having way too many problems getting my pnp isa modem to work in linux.
Ready to buy a new one.
Thanks for the help.

just about any external will work, cause linux just sees it as a serial port

i have used usr sportster 56k ext. and best data 56k ext. with no problems

ps - don't have any pII cpu's laying around to trade? do you? ;)
