Here's a strange problem: I had just started Exile 3 and had reached the 'load game' dialog. I wondered if my web page was loaded yet, and so I moved my cursor to the window. While my cursor was over the backround, it turned into the classic x-shaped cursor. When the cursor is on the web page in mozilla, it returns to the newer pointer cursor. I've googled for 'Fluxbox problem X cursor' without any relevant results. I was wondering if any of you know what is happening.

(I have nothing against the X cursor, I actually kind of like it, I was just wondering what happened)

If it happened while the game was loading, that's probably the cause right there. Does the cursor seem fine when youre not loading games or webpages?

Actually, after the game loaded the cursor stayed as the 'x', but only on the backround and Flux menus/the bottom bar. When I move it on top of, say, Mozilla or OpenOffice, it returns to normal until back onto the backround. I'm just about to restart Flux to see if it still is the x...

... and after I restart Flux, the cursor returns to normal. I was thinking it might have something to do with the game thinking that I was using the x cursor and, when the cursor left the game's screen, the game was telling Flux to use the x cursor... or something like that.

A little note: the game actually uses a custom cursor, which is what helped me think of my theory.

with blackbox, I always have the ugly X cursor, unless I launch gnome-settings-daemon, then I have the white gnome cursor but only in certain apps, like mozilla. very, very irritating. if someone has a fix... please tell :)
