brackets or.......?

Ok, this may be simple. but for some reason its driving me crazy. i'm trying to remove a file with the name -x but the rm command keeps thinking thats a switch. now i know there must be some combination of brackets and voodoo involved. Need some suggestions. Thanks.

try rm ./"-x" or rm ./\-x
