I downloaded mozilla 0.8 and I'd like to get Java to run on it. How do I do it?

I already have java pre-installed in my SuSE box, but apperantly it offers no support for the latest mozilla release. I downloaded Java last night from the link provided at the mozilla website, but what the heck is jre.xpi. This extension is unknown to me, nor do I know how to uncompress it, less install it and there is no information as to how to install it at the mozilla site  (bastards).

Anyway, I'm downloading a gzip filed from the Sun website in hopes that I can installed the plugin.

Do I have to upgrade the JVM just so I can get the plugin to run? If so, will this have any repercussions on my system?

Please help.

I'm getting pissy here !!!!

P.S. Does mozilla have no support for plugins?

Thanks all.

check this (http://www.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla0.8/#java) out. Other than what that says I have no clue what you need to do to get it to work. I would love to help but for the past couple of days I have been recovering from a hard drive corruption. :(
