Disclaimer: I did do a search on this, and I've checked a few other sites and haven't seen any references to this issue, so I think it's probably a newbie mistake so please don't flame me too harshly.

I'm installing RH 7.1 on a Gateway 9300 LX laptop and all has gone well up to this point. However setup is trying to create a boot disk and is choking. I belive this has to do w/ this laptop having an LS120/Superdrive instead of a generic floppy drive. It gives the "Creating boot disk...." pop-up and then tells me that an error occured and to make sure that the disk is inseted correctly and formatted- both of which are true. There is a check-box for "Skip boot disk creation", but it is greyed out. There doesn't seem to be a way around this or a way to skip the floppy creation.

Anybody have any clues.

TIA.

I did a Google search for install with ls120 (http://www.google.com/linux?site=search&restrict=linux&hl=en&q=install+with+ls120&btnG=Google+Search) which got quite a few hits. The third has something on installing on a Gateway.

You may find something there to help.

Other than that I really don't know what to suggest unless there are commandline switches you can use at the start of the install to disable prompting to create a bootdisk. Any readme's etc on the install cd that mentions this?
