I went out and got a copy of windows version XX.X.whatever. IT SUCKS!!! IT HAD A CRAPPY DOS LOOKING INTERFACE..WAIT. IT WAS A CRAPPY DOS INTERFACE!!!PISS!! THE WHOLE OPERATING SYSTEM IS A FANCY GUI TO A DOS INTERFACE. THIS SUCKS!!I GOT RIPPED OFF!!I WANT MY $500 BACK!!!
Anyway, I finally got it installed. It took like an hour and just displayed some crappy graphics while it installed saying how great it was and all the wonderful things you could do with it. BUT THEN THE PISSIN THING KEPT REBOOTING!! EVERY FRIGGIN TIME I CHANGED SOMETHING I HAD TO REBOOT. WHAT KIND OF CRAPPY OS IS THIS? I COULDNT EVEN CONFIGURE THINGS THE WAY I WANTED IT, IT WAS SETUP HOW SOME GUY NAMED BILL WANTS IT. THIS SUCKS!!
So, I finally get into the windows interface thingy, and IT KEEPS GETTING THIS BSOD THINGY THAT SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT MEMORY ADDRESS ERRORS AND CRAPPY PROGRAMMING AT ITS BEST AND BLOATED PRICES FOR CRAP!!

---Again, a sarcastic presentation brought to you my the mind of Mountainman...Someone get that windows idiot outa here...

which windows was it?
i hate win9x... but i tried out windows 2000 professional (and installed some modules off the win2k server cd) and although i hate microsoft, and i hate windows, i believe that win2k, although it will NEVER replace linux, goes beside it quite nicely on a dual-boot... most people say i'm retarded for putting win2k on my puter, but i don't play games, and i like having that extra level of control on my puter... that's why i like linux!

but yeah, windows 2000 isn't that bad... i only had to reboot once during the install too... which was nice :) . now my system is
win2k -- mandrake 7.2 -- slackware 7.1

i'm thinking of putting debain on inplace of mandrake.. not sure yet... i'm getting a new computer soon anyways, so i might just wait.

I wasnt specifically talking about one windows version. It was just a rant about that windows rules or whatever dork that keeps posting linux derision. Im just in a bad mood today and he was here to take the verbal abuse... :D

Hahahaha. :D Mountainman made me laugh out loud<for a looong time> :D . Hahaha. That's 1 of the best and funniest posts that I have ever seen. Ot to start posting that in *doze forums and give the mindless a taste of what we see and suffer thru in the *nix forums

>thanks man I needed that> I still have a smirk on my face

this type of "subjective" stuff is more appropriate in the rants or off-topic forum
general questions is for legitimate questions about needing help with linux (winders quetions belong in off-topic)

i would like to see this thread moved to rants or off-topic, as the original post is basically a rant about that person's difficulties with a winders install, which has happened before and will happen again. everybody has a different skill level and a winders install might not be appropriate for that users skill level

have a nice day! :)

Glad to bring the joy of sarcasm to those around the globe... :D
