help with networking

not on linux, but i figured this is best place to ask

I'm trying to run an Apache Server from my computer, but with my linksys router, the last time I tried, the built-in firewall disabled people from being able to see it. Do you know any way around this?

its for my friend, and i know nothing about networking.

Port forwarding all incoming traffic on the firewall on incoming port 80 to port 80 of the IP of the machine running Apache should do it.

I don't actually know how to do it on that firewall though. My firewall has a web interface for doing network configuration.

MartinB is right; you can usually customize the settings in the Linksys routers to allow incoming http traffic. Check the Linksys' manual; it probably has an explanation of how to set that up.
