Hey Guys !
I was jus wonderin if one of you could give me an address where i can get a Suse 7.1 iso file . But not the live eva . That one doesnt seem to work so good with me . I need the real install file . Or if you cant find a Suse 7.1 then 7.0 does it too . Iam so frustrated with this ftp download from the suse server . I would really really apreciate it if somebody could help me !
Thanx !
David
Since you're asking where to download S.u.S.E. 7.1 you must know what's in it. Does it have Staroffice etc.
Thanks already

I mean if there is a way to make a live evalution to install on my hard disk - tell me - would be great coz i donwloaded it already to have a look . Or somebody can maybe tell me another iso where the new kde2 desktop is already included - doesnt has to be suse . I mean iam willing to make some configuration work - thats for sure not it . But first i need a running system . And Suse seemed to be easy . Mandrake 7.2 has it too but doesnt start the installation . Its all a bit tricky i guess :-)

Yeah it comes with star office, amongst other things. It is quite an extensive package.

You will NOT find SuSE 7.1 at www.linuxiso.org, (http://www.linuxiso.org,) not even the evaluation ISO that is available at SuSE's FTP site.NOT
OK, I'll make the question easier. Are there enough programs to run a pretty complete Linux system with almost anything on it.
Can you choose between different programs which does the same.
Is there much sharewhare/demo software?
There are 6 CD's and one DVD in it, are the 6 CD's on the DVD or is the DVD a disk with all different things??

The pofessional version has the 6 CDs and a DVD. and they have over 1500 apps on them. i believe that the DVD is equal to the 6 CDs.
There is Staroffice, Koffice and so many othe apps. you can find a complete list at www.Suse.de (http://www.Suse.de)

SuSe does not have an iso for download. Except for one stupid evaluation (what the f**ck?). However i recommend buying a distro.
SuSe comes with 7 cd's and 1 DVD. The contents of the 7 cd's are on the DVD. See the suse.com site.
(I don't like what suse is doing, i rather have redhat) :p

I bought 7.1 and am pretty happy with it.
I'm not sure what the problem is with SuSE. They always wait forever before putting the ISO on their site (or anywhere else, for that matter). It's kinda frustrating.
I just downloaded and installed Red Hat 7.1 (Wolverine). I prefer it over SuSE 7.1.
