Color management

Hi,
I have a pretty old monitor on my Linux machine and the colors are a bit screwed up. :eek:
Even if I adjust the brightness to the maximum with the buttons, the display is really dark. :(
In Windows, I can use the color management to fix this problem. Is there something I can do in Linux? :confused:
