Is thier any linux that supports the Highpoint HPT370 RAID card? or a way to make it work. I have Mandrake 8.0 now but I want to upgrade to SuSE 7.3 or Mandrake 8.1.
Highpoint has some drivers for older versions of SuSE and none for Mandrake. I dont know if the old driver will work on a new version or not.
Thanks for any help you can give me

I suggest you take a look at the manufacturer's website. It is advisable to do at least a modicum of research before posting questions like this. The answer is awaiting you...http://www.highpoint-tech.com.
Edit: Fixed some grammar.

I have look at their site as i said in my first post, that is were I found the drivers for the older versions of linux.
Highpoints docs on linux drivers are non-exsitant. they dont even have any FAQ's about linux.
thanks for the reply

From my last attempt install (RH7.1), my hpt370 (Abit BE6-II Rev2.0 RAID) was recognizied as a controller, but not a raid controller. A little way into the install, it asked me to intialize the disks, which I did (I knew I would loose data), and I lost data.
I repeat, though windows recognizes hpt370's raid arrays, from my experience, linux recognize them as simply another controller, and recognizes them seperatley.
Which kind of sucks cause I wanted to see how kick as linux was on my 1100Mhz PIII w/ 60GB of raid 0.

Well, according to http://www.highpoint-tech.com/370drivers.htm, there are Suse 7.1 RAID drivers available. SuSE 7.1 is not that old. If you would download the drivers you could read the README files which would give you the details and they even have nice manuals! I didn't look at the RedHat drivers but I assume they are the same. The drivers are just kernel modules, so you should be able to use them on any Linux system.
