Dual monitors: not Xinerama....

[Duh]

what can i use to run two different video cards and monitors, that will show a different workspace on each monitor?
Xinerama makes one large dektop, but i want two i can move between.
how do i do it? where are some good howtos?

Granted, I haven't tried this, but I imagine you might need a program called x2x to allow you to move the mouse across the 2 screens, search around with Google I have found it before.

I have done something sort of similar where I have 2 monitors, one computer with OpenBSD running Xfree86, and another computer running Win2K. I used a derivative of x2x called x2vnc, and I can move seamlessly between the two desktops with on keyboard and mouse.
