Okay, now before everyone yells at me, Remember: I'm using this to get Linux, even though I'm using Windows. ;)
Now I have about three weeks before I get all the replacement parts for my spare box (Going to try Vector3.2SOHO or Slackware 9) and I have a question about ISO Burning. I'm using aheadNERO for Windows, and it has quite a few options for burning. Now I've read somewhere that OS ISOs are ISO9660 (well at least for Slackware 9) and that ISO9660 is not compatible with Joliet (the Windows something burning thing, and which is what Nero uses while burning, I think). Is this correct?
And also I wanted to ask about options to choose. Usually I would go with the default, but a friend of mine has suggested to check the box Raw Data (refer to screenshot at bottom). That changes the block size from 2048 (the recommended block size for ISO9660) to 2352.
Here is the full list of options:
---
Type of image: ->Data Mode 1
---------------->Data Mode 2
---------------->Audio
---------------->HFS
[]Raw Data
-----------------------------------------
Block size (bytes): ->2048
------------------->2352
Image Header (bytes): 0
Image Footer (bytes): 0
Image Trailer (bytes): 0
[]Scrambled
[]Swapped
---
(By the way: I don't believe it's HFS because that's for "Mac ISOs" :rolleyes: ) Does anyone know exactly what options I should choose?
Now I've checked the help files on aheadNERO, and a few on Google, to no avail. Any help would be largely appriecated.
