nvidia glx install problems

hi guys!:)

ok ive installed NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run

the i edited etc/modules.conf and added the line

alias char-major-195 nvidia

then i change the identifyer from nv to nvidia

load glx is not in the XF86config but its in XF86config-4.

now the games like tux racer that were running slow dont even boot up now.

are these the right settings or do i need some diferent ones.

what distro are you using? if you have a /etc/modules.autoload then add 'nvidia' into that file, and take out 'nv' (if it is written there)

wierd, I never had to edit modules.conf

i did it right except for one thing in the xf86config file instead of putting nvidia i put nvidi!

its working great now and the video games look great.
