Dopey again...(didn't steal my name uh?)
During the install (suse6.4) setup gave information about the hardware that was found. There was no modem found. Now , I'm ppretty sure that i have one (like 100%), so how do get linux recognizing my modem? 'Cause I really wanna kick this Microsuck out of my computer, the sooner the better!!!!!

I think that may be a winmodem. I had one the Diamond's and it was. Try looking around here for more info - http://www.linmodems.org

Thanks for the link, I'll look deeper in it.
Seems complicated too, I'll have to translate that first (me speaking dutch and all).Still, isn't there a way to tell linux how to find it?

If it is a Winmodem, it may not be usable in Linux. Winmodems are software-driven and, of course, only Windows has the software.
Most Linux users use external modems. I only use externals because you can reset them without rebooting.
