Have it up and running, but when LILO is loaded, my screen has a 2.5" border around it, so basically, by 14" screen is now 10. When in X, the whole screen is utilized, but not at a command line..any ideas? :(

You can try adding one of the following to /etc/lilo.conf and rerun /sbin/lilo if you make any changes.

vga=normal # for 80x25

vga=extended # for 80x50

There are also numbers you can use such as i.e. vga=792 though I'm not sure which ones are valid and the resolutions they represent. I did find a site once that listed all the vga=###'s, but did not keep the url. A search shouldn't take too long to find it.
