just wondering why (afer emerging xfree4.3), startx would load up like after 20-30 sec.
then keyboard and mouse doesn't work.

Some output from /var/log/Xfree.0.log would be more useful. Probally be never the end if they stop working after a bit

Whoa...TMI (too much information)

How about anything with a (WW) warning, (EE) error at the begining...might want to check Xfree.1.log and the others also

it works now.
i just disabled(uncheck) keyboard support under "input core support".

now, when i'm a user, i can't save/edit any files. the user is in groups: wheel and users.

also, so far i only have openbox and xfree.
i created ~/.xinitrc with exec openbox but as root (since the above problem), and openbox won't run.
how do i run it?

i did this from stage1, can anybody post their /etc/group so i can see which permissions does a user need.
