Look under the help menu on Mozilla. Click on "about plugins". See if a java plug-in is installed. If not, follow the link to netscape plugins (on the help menu). If it is installed, go under edit menu and then preferences. See if it is enabled. If not, the best thing to do is read the mozilla org's docs on how to install the plugin for your browser. "mozilla.org"

Ok, I am pretty new to Linux and was pulling my hair out trying to get Java to run as a mozilla plugin.

I installed the correct version from Sun but still could not go to yahoo games ...( my testing ground) I tried many of the suggestions on different threads and got the same results as others .... from Java not installed to Java already installed... and no luck changing paths to get it to work as a Mozilla plugin.

So I followed a thrread that lead me to this url:
Netscape Plugins Walla an auto download started ... I jumped up and did back flip..... only to land on my head and see "Access Denied" error message during install. CRAP.

So I logged out, logged in as root and tried to download and walla this time it worked got te good ole 'Success' message. (back flip same result as above)

I went to yahool and low and behold I could play games. I logged out and back in as me and in Mozilla went to Help>about plugins and Java was there and Yes I was able to play yahoo games.

I don't know if how I did this is a bad thing all Know is now I have java working as a Mozilla plug in....

If this helps anyone else let me know.
