Hi All!
Just a quick question before I delete Mandrake off my hard drive, I have just downloaded the Slack 8.0 iso's install.iso and extras.iso. My question is do I need the sources.iso to install and get my system up and running?
Thanks in advance
Lee
P.S. I scoured their site and I couldn't find anything that simply said "d/l these 3 iso images..." So I am asking here...

Generally speaking, not really. Every once in awhile, you'll find yourself wanting to install something that is on that CD. But more often than not, whatever you are trying to install comes on the first two CDs. If you have a fast connection (T1, T3) just download all of 'em and keep the ISO image around in case you do need it. Otherwise, you may just want to leave it alone.

Thanks Ninja!!
I will download the sources later, but after waiting 6 hours to d/l the other two iso's I am itching to get the install started :D
Wish me luck, I am about to try and become a slacker :p

no
you only need install.iso
extra.iso contains non-essential apps and custom kernels
sources.iso is just the source code to everything on install.iso
 Slackware
