it is on my "to do" list
but i think i need to learn some stuff first :o

plus i have a couple other certs i plan first

don't know how much good it will do, but the way i see it, it isn't a bad thing on a resume, nobody will see that and say "oh, that dude likes to learn stuff, that sucks, i want dumb people that just surf the internet all day"

Depends. For most employers (although I've seen exceptions) experience counts a whole lot more than certs, especially when it comes to unix type systems. That doesn't mean it's not worth getting though... if you're looking for a linux job and are against someone else with similar experience but no cert, you'll be ahead.
Myself, I'm working on a Solaris cert at the moment... another month or two and I'll probably be ready for the first of the two exams.
Really I like Linux better than Solaris, but they're similar enough that I figured I might as well go for the Big Name :) (Also, I work for a consulting company, and my boss has told me that clients tend to be impressed enough with a Solaris cert that I could land pretty much any unix-based position with just that one)...

I have about 8 months on linux. I learn a couple of stuff. But most of the time that I spent at work is taking car of windows box. I'm the tech guy there, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can to take the test. Does anyone know if the test hard or what do the test ask you . I'm going for the red hat cert.

tux

Check out this:

The guides and discussions should give you an idea what you need to know.

BTW, they rate the difficulty of this exam as a "1 out of 5" which is the lowest of anything I've seen there (even IIS4, which was really, really easy was a 2) so that rating would probaby translate to "a trained monkey should be able to pass it." ;)
