Okay so i finally figured all the options to get aterm to look the way I want, but how do I make it do that everytime I open an aterm window? For instance, instead of typing "aterm -tr -bla -bla true -bla green" how can i just type "aterm" and have it set to the way I want it?

You need to reference the RESOURCES in the man pages for aterm. They tell you which files you need to modify so that each time you execute aterm it accesses these files and puts those options in as default. So you need to modify and/or create a .Xresources or .Xdefaults file in your home directory. It is pretty easy to do. If you don't have a clue how to utilize the classes then let me know and I can provide you with an example.
