i have mandrake linux 9 and i want to uninstall it, what do i to do that? I need details on how to do it. I read the book and it says to boot for dos, how do you boot to that, all it has is linux, failsafe and floppy. Also it says somthing about the partitioning. but i dont get it, please help

Assuming 'uninstall' wasn't a typo:
Install something else. Win will just kill it and partition your drive as one large partition. Another Linux will ask you to manually partition, then it will format and install. You don't usually just uninstall an OS, cause that kinda leaves you with a useless machine :). Although, you can always put in your Win98 boot disk and do this:
fdisk
//repartition as one
format c
fdisk /mbr //this deletes your bootloader from your mbr
Assuming 'uninstall' wasn't a typo, and you meant 'install.' Boot on the install cd and follow the directions, Mandrake has an easy easy easy install.
